What? 21 year old lad is starting to write a blog
Where? Finland, Europe, Earth, Solar Federation (Rush reference), ... Have to be specific about that in case Aliens discover earth-internet and even this blog, if they already haven't
When? Last day of 2018
Why? For reasons. I guess there are lots of personal observations about life and existence that I'd like to share with somebody, and in lack of friends (with whomst I would discuss such stuff) I'm inviting anyone from internet to be interested. Also there 'll be more content than just what it means to be. I got stuff that I'm geeky about.
Who? (...Doctor Who?) If you just read that in Dalek voice, know that I'm a fellow DW fan. 21-year old lad from Finland (as I already mentioned, just too lazy to press backspace). Currently an engineering student. Aspiring to be whatever I may want to (now and in the future). I could list some interest but one can find almost anything interesting; space, worms, spaceworms, laundry, can you vaporize your homework, food, computers etc. Bet you'll figure out some of my main interests in future posts.
As it is New-years eve now, 'spose I could mention couple things. First of all, during the last few days I've come to think that change of year is really non-essential event and there is no point we celebrate it the way we do. Without the concept of year, as it is merely a social construct, a man made concept to define passing of time in this case, there woul really be no reason on this day. Year changes yes, but it has absolutely no effect over the universe (non that I'm aware of. I'm not a physicist). Still buying rockets tho!
New-years resolutions are just as odd. Why would you wait for next years to become something better (ain't that the usual?) when you could have just as well start that change any other time of your choice. Instead of resolutions I have certain things to look more into in the future (doesn't have to be a new round around the sun). For example I've got loads of books to read. I started "reading project" earlier this year with The Hobbit, and for the future I'm hoping to read one book a month. That would be personally a huge leap, if I've earlier read less than a book in a year. So I've been thinking of books to read, and those include Lord of The Rings by Tolkien obviously, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick, Anhtem by Ayn Rand and many many others.
Anyhow, I still do celebrate the annual change with some fellow specimen, and if you've got resolutions for next year, try and achieve them.
By for now I 'spose
